Supervisory Body for Police Information
The Supervisory Body is the autonomous federal parliamentary body in charge of monitoring the management of police information and also the data protection authority for the integrated police service, the Passenger Information Unit and the General Inspectorate of the Federal and the Local Police.

The exercise of the rights of access, rectification and deletion concerning SIS II differs according to whether the alert is processed for the purpose of refusing admission or a ban on residence in the Schengen area or for the purposes of police and judicial cooperation in criminal matters.

The Supervisory Body (COC) wants to enhance the efficiency and democratic administration of the way in which police activities and police information are managed.
